Setting up an individual scheme carries greater responsibility than joining a producer responsibility organisation. Under an individual scheme, you may face a penalty if: 

  • You fail to meet the traceability and reporting obligations laid down by regulations;
  • You do not satisfy the specific requirements in the specifications for your sector;
  • You report incorrect or incomplete information in your declarations.
