When might you face a penalty?
A penalty may apply if:
- Your products fall within one or several EPR schemes and you have not joined an accredited producer responsibility organisation (PRO) or set up an individual compliance scheme for all the schemes that concern you;
- Your PRO withdraws your Unique Number due to non-compliance.
Understand how to meet your obligations
If you have set up an individual compliance scheme
Setting up an individual scheme carries greater responsibility than joining a producer responsibility organisation. Under an individual scheme, you may face a penalty if:
- You fail to meet the traceability and reporting obligations laid down by regulations;
- You do not satisfy the specific requirements in the specifications for your sector;
- You report incorrect or incomplete information in your declarations.
